DRIVER/WAREHOUSE ATTENDANT
LOCATION:
Spruce Grove, AB
JOB PURPOSE
The Driver/Warehouse Attendant will work with the warehouse & shop team members to receive, load, and unload incoming and outgoing shipment. As well as responsible for deliveries & pickups. The Driver/Warehouse Attendant will maintain a clear and safe workspace for employees & customers. At the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the candidate will help with moving, loading and cleaning. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet, be sensitive to deadlines and have initiative to work with minimal supervision.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks
• Deliveries, order pick ups
• Organize and clean yard and other workspaces when required
• Ensure workspace is free of safety hazards
• Work as an active team member to complete team goals
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision safely
• Enjoy having different challenges and tasks everyday
• Operate a variety of equipment e.g., forklifts, skid steers
• Ensure that all required paperwork is completed, Bill of lading, FLHA etc.
• Being a team player, helping other departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have Valid class 5 driver’s license or higher
• Class 3 or heavy trailer endorsement would be an asset
• Industrial warehouse experiences, and forklift certified is preferred.
• Able to pass drug test/background check
• Must have experience towing trailers.
• Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, lift, walk and climb through the shift.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently
• Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as required by the company and the province
• A recent Drivers Abstract report will be required upon hire.
WORKING CONDITiONS
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Inside/outside temperatures fluctuate so appropriate layered outerwear should be considered when preparing for activity throughout the property, depending on the season
• Travel may be necessary.
• Overtime and weekends may be required
