DRAIN THE PAIN | Dewatering Bags That Work

Standing water can grind a jobsite to a halt. Whether it’s a flooded trench, a post-storm pit, or groundwater creeping in, too much water where it shouldn’t be means downtime, delays, and potential fines. At Cross Country Canada Supplies & Rentals, we help pipeline and construction crews take control of water and get back to work.
Our Dewatering Bags are a tough, no-nonsense solution for removing sediment, silt, and contaminants from pumped water before it is discharged. They’re built to handle rugged site conditions and help meet environmental regulations without the need for complex or costly filtration systems.
If your crew deals with stormwater, wet soil, or water management in remote locations, this is the tool you need in the truck.

What Is a Dewatering Bag?
A dewatering bag, sometimes called a sediment filter bag, is designed to capture and contain suspended solids from water pumped off a construction or pipeline site. Once you run your discharge hose into the bag and secure it using the built-in buckle, water passes through the geotextile fabric, while the mud, muck, and fines stay behind.
These bags prevent harmful materials from reaching storm drains, ditches, and natural water bodies, helping you stay compliant and environmentally responsible.

Built for Real Jobsites
Crews don’t have time for flimsy materials or overcomplicated gear. Our bags are made from non-woven polypropylene geotextile, a heavy-duty, permeable fabric that can take the pressure from high-volume pumps while filtering out sediment and debris.
Every bag features:
Custom double-stitched salvaged edges to stand up to tough site use
Lifting eyelets for safe positioning
A preinstalled tightening buckle to secure hoses up to 6 inches in diameter
Colour-coded sizing so you can grab the right bag fast, even in the rain or mud
Whether you are pumping out a massive trench or just draining a smaller pit, we have a size to match.
Size & Color Code
10’ x 10’ - Yellow
10’ x 20’ - Pink
3’ x 4’ - Green
3’ x 5’ - Blue
5’ x 15’ - Silver
5’ x 7’ - Orange

Where and How to Use Them
Dewatering Bags are incredibly versatile and can be used across a wide range of applications. Here’s where they come in handy:
Pipeline Projects
Pipeline trenching and tie-ins often lead to groundwater seeping into the workspace. Our dewatering bags allow you to pump the water out quickly while keeping sediment out of the environment. Keep your right-of-way clean and your crew moving.
Storm Recovery
After a big rain, you do not want your jobsite underwater. Dewatering bags let you drain fast without clogging storm systems or risking violations. Expedite cleanup and stay productive.
Construction Sites
From residential foundations to commercial builds, excavation work often deals with water infiltration. These bags make it easy to stay compliant while keeping your site dry.
Remote Jobs and Off-Grid Projects
If you are working far from municipal drainage systems or containment setups, these portable bags are a smart solution. They require no permanent infrastructure, so you can deploy them anywhere you need.
